Default I won Reserve Grand Champion on my Model A!!!

Hello, everyone!!!!

A few weeks ago, my dad helped me start a thread here and we asked lots of questions about Model A's.

I want to thank you all for helping me. Your help enabled me to win Reserve Grand Champion on my Model A truck entry into my local 4-H fair. You helped us build a great model!

My dad says that some people might say the color we painted the truck is not an accurate color, and that some people might be upset that we built a rusty junker.

My dad coached me through each step of building the model. He says it was the worst kit he has ever seen, and several times, we thought that the kit was so bad that it might be impossible to complete. Lots and lots of parts were warped.

Thank you again!!!! I really appreciate all the help you gave me!!!!!

You did good! Most anyone can build a new looking car (truck) from a kit but it takes skill to make it look old and used. Thumbs up on it.

Congratulations! Great looking model, building an "aged' model takes far more skill than an out of the box stocker. Good luck with your next build. Bob

I like the way you built your truck. It looks great, and with the right background it would look like the real full sized truck.

There's a gravel pit not far from me and when some light snow settles on the piles of sand and light vegetation, I'd like to take a couple of my car models and place them up there for photos.

That's fantastic! I appreciate the truth in your work. Good for you in recognizing the beauty in these machines, even when they have become yard art. You have really captured that with your model.

Congratulations Chrissy! As far as the parts being warped, you will find the same thing wrong with the full size pieces most of the time!
