Default prettiest years and ugliest years

In your opinion what are the prettiest year Fords '32 to '48 and the homeliest ones?

Nothing personal, but the post war sedans were ugly INHO. 33-34, being the best looking cars. No such thing as an ugly truck though. Rod

'38 Deluxe is the prettiest, '38 Standard the homeliest.

I'm partial to 40's, I have a standard 2dr sedan that I prefer to the deluxe just because they arent so prevalent. I would say 40 Deluxes outnumber the standards by 4 to 1 (or higher) at most shows. I think any 46 to 48 rates as the ugliest but they are still much better looking than a 46-48 GM product.

I think you can get an overall "best idea" of what folks believe are the prettiest vs. ugliest by the values. That will be skewed of course a bit due to rarity. However, it'll give you a good overall idea.
1932 by any manufacturer has for a long time been considered by many (most?) to be the pinnacle of prewar styling.

My opinion (and it's worth exactly what it cost you)...'33-'34 cars prettiest and '38-'39 trucks ugliest.

The '34 roadster was Ford's crowning achievement in my humble opinion, Sure wish I owned one.

I was waiting for the inevitable "37 is the ugliest".

33-34 Model 'A'ish Not my favorites

'37 Sedan is quite attractive it is "One Off" and does require some "appeal" adjustment time

A black '39 deluxe coupe has to be one of Ford's finest designs.
Also...
'39 standard coupe
'38 standard coupe - with the stainless trim
'37 coupe

Homeliest - has to 1936

From the front, the 33-34's, the 36 Coupes and Roadster, 38 Deluxe Coupe and convertibles. I used to think of the 35 Grille as the plainist but in recent years I've come around. From the rear the 39-40 Coupe is pretty hard to beat. As someone else said All Trucks, Ford got those right in style, easy to look at and functional too.

Postwar? Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

They are like women... They are all beautiful in there own way... However, I'm partial to all the Fat Fenders, '35 to '48, but my vote for the “most beautiful” would have to be the ’39 Lincoln Zephyr & ’40 Lincoln Zephyr Continental.

This is a loaded question for sure. I like them all, just some better than others. At the top of my list are the 32's and the 33 a very close second.

Well, of course we all like our current ride. The fat fenders are great for ride and cruising.

And I got an endorsement from the Flathead King (Walt) who had one in his younger days and said the back seat was the greatest.

I really like the 41 coupes. I also like the 46 through 48 coupes. Throw the 42 coupe in there also.
