The best of Craigslist...
Found this one today not that far from where my parents live. Now I can finally combine my dream of owning a Fordor AND a Delivery. At least it hasn't been chopped yet and someone with time could remove the door...

Re: The best of Craigslist...
I would go for it! At the price they are asking it looks reasonable. Beside they look like knew what they were doing. I don't know if you can reseal the back door once it has been cut like that , as the belt moulding is going to be REALLY difficult fill in. You may just turn it into a special delivery type car.

Re: The best of Craigslist...
Very Decent of you Brent! My advice is to snag it! I see the interior is gone. Let me tell you about my fordor TS I picked up in an auction about 2 1/2 years ago It is my first model A and I didn't know squat about about them. Now I do know squat but not much more! First off, check the wood. If more than a few pieces are bad better plan on a big expense to replace. Rusty bodies are not too big a problem. In my car there was no interior, a significant amount of the wood was rotten from powder post beetles. Two of the doors looked solid but were rusted away at the bottoms. The wind shield was cracked two of the door windows were missing. It hadn't run in about 8 years, The wheel cyls were locked. The tires were junk All for $1500 I've got my hands full.

Re: The best of Craigslist...
I like it! I would leave the door as is if its done decently...? Put the original front seats in and interior, paint job, and drive it. Looks like a pile of fun to me! It can always be restored properly at a later date, meanwhile you get a fun, unique car.

Re: The best of Craigslist...
Seems like a pretty good deal for $5 k, especially if the drivetrain was "completely rebuilt" as described.
I'm curious as to whether the rear doors have been fastened-shut, as I don't see any hinges... |

Re: The best of Craigslist...
I think Frank might have been talking about the back 2 doors to the fordor not the rear door. I too do not see any hinges on the back doors of the original car.

Re: The best of Craigslist...
Mine was so bad i almost considered doing that except i would have used original seats & kept the rear door hinges. Cannot think of a practical way to use the rear door with the rear seat still in the car though.

Re: The best of Craigslist...
Yep, I don't see any rear door hinges because they got moved to the back door more than likely. Still looks like a really cool car though.
