Default Steering box lube fill plug

Hey guys ! The steering box lube fill plug on my '37 is in pretty rough shape . I looked in all my parts catalogs , but did not see them listed w/anyone . Are they not being repoped ? Or , do I have to hunt down a good used one ? Thanks - F F

There are at least two versions: cast and stamped.

same plug back to model A's i believe, 4 million of those out there

I have seen the Model A plug in the catalogs . I am sure I could get one of those @ my local hardware store ! None listed in Early V8 catalogs . The model A plug is much smaller than mine . - F F

Hey Clem - mine is stamped . The hole is around 5/8 - 3/4 . - F F

The plugs are 3/4-20 tapered thread. They are not being reproduced as far as I know.

They are a common pipe thread. Take the old one to a good hardware store and match it.

Model A are pipe thread, but the V8 are not. They are 3/4-20 tapered thread which is not common at all. I pull the plugs out of every junk steering box I find...
