Default What fan size?

I’m thinking about switching from a 16 inch mechanical fan to a 17” or 18” mechanical fan on my ‘35 Ford commercial truck for improved air flow and cooling. What are the pro’s and con’s,... any advice, thoughts or opinions?

.

As long as it will still clear your upper and lower hoses, as well as the bottom pocket of your upper radiator tank, what could be any better? It MAY be a little more noisy, but so what? We ain't goin' to the PROM in this rig, right? DD

your biggest improvement regardless of fan size would be to fabricate a fan shroud, or find a ready made shroud to fit your application.
