Default Headlight Focus Challenge

I put rebuilt original sockets with new, reproduction reflectors in my car. I can successfully focus the right hand light but not the left. Both sockets move freely in and out but adjusting the screw on the one doesn’t seem to change anything. What am I missing?

Start by swapping bulbs. I replaced one that's misaligned between filaments and contact pins, but I didn't notice a lot of difference. Other than that I'd swap parts until I found the problem. I assume you're using incandescent bulbs.
