Default Question about clutch ball bracket/bushing

I've noticed some difference on how my clutch has been engaging and started to check over the components. I found that I have some play in the clutch ball bracket. I was looking in Joe's antique catalog and found the clutch ball bracket that mounts to the frame. They also offer a ball & bracket bushing,
half moon. I haven't disassembled this yet, I was waiting until I had replacement parts.
Can someone explain how this all goes together. Is this a bushing that goes into the bracket?
Thanks in advance,
Randy

Here you go. Part # 7517 is actually the split bronze busing the fits around the ball on the bracket that's bolted to frame. The equalizer release shaft hollow end slides over that split bushing. As I recall you have to remove the pin that attaches the forked end of the equalizer shaft to the clutch release shaft that goes into the transmission. This permits you to easily install the bushing.

I replaced the pin with a threaded grade 8 nut and bolt that "threaded" thru the assembly points. That was 20 years ago. You can see it in this photo. Not recommended if you're maintaining AACA originality. Oil leak was later fixed. Y bracket gizmo is an after market "anti chatter" rod item. Other end hooks to X member.

It depends, sometimes the ball is worn and no longer spherical.
