Default Catch up with my 41 pu rolling resto. VIDEOS.

Hi all. I've been beavering away on my 1941 pickup. I've been taking video footage and have just started editing some of it up and getting it posted to youtube.

Part5: Improving the seat, (rattle elimination) and realising other work will be necessary: https://youtu.be/du3iuNRXLak

Part 6a: Removing the rear window to prepare for a new seal:
https://youtu.be/tDCQOvAajRY

Part 6b: Refitting the rear window with a new seal. This was my first time doing this in about 35 years. I did this before the front glass work I did, even though that video went out quite a while ago.
https://youtu.be/_T4dXtPVg4Y

Part 6c: After finding the rear window leaking, I get cocky and pop it out to apply sealant. Things didn't work out well. CAUTION. Contains some adult language. (I did edit most out).
https://youtu.be/boCoiHmcbOg

I have more to come, It just takes a long time to edit them up into a watchable format.

Please feel free to add a comment, like or click subscribe.

Thanks a lot.

Mart.

Mart that 41 cab is in nice shape. My 48 Merc truck has rusted a hole right through just above the rear window. I suspect mice have nested in there many years ago. Of course windows are pretty far down on the list for now on that truck.

Too bad about the window glass break. You needed a helper on the other side. I actually carved one out of a sheet of plexiglass to fit the vent window on my Merc sedan. Could probably do the same for your rear window but I know its not the ideal solution.
