i think that goes for most Model A's. Sort of like air cooled rear engined VW's in general and VW Vans in particular.

Don't drive any of them in Florida in a hurricane. In California, don't drive in the Santa Ana winds which can approach hurricane velocity.

Now that is an interesting picture. Do you think at 80 mph, it would lift the front wheels off the ground?

In alot of ways it interesting, they used the wagon to test Grumman seaplane designs. This picture was taken during the war, the camouflage netting strung over everything was common at the aircraft manufacturing sites.Reckon the old girl got whipped around some...lost her hubcap.

Though it wasn't wind tunnel testing . There is a story where Henry took a students model A out of the parking lot at the Ford trade school without permission from the student . Henry took the 1930 tudor out to the test track. The word was that the tudor ran 72 MPH with the wind and 68 MPH against the wind . Henry later entered the class room and asked who owned the model A out in the parking lot . A student raised his hand . Henry said that it was well tuned and gave the student a note to give the guy at the gas pump for a free tank of gas . Gas was said to be rationed at the time .

All A's get moved around in the wind, sedans are worse than coupes or PU's because more area is exposed to the wind. Years ago 5 of us travelled from L.A. to Bakersfield in a VW bug on a very windy day. In the mountain area, when we would enter an open spot, the VW would move sideways a full lane!

Jim you need a new Ford GT they are low and mean the wind won't blow them around sideways backways up or down

Jeff, a new GT would be nice, I could get in it, and drive it, but probably can't get out of it without help!
