I ran into a bunch of people from fallbrook C.A. at the wawona hotel in Yosemite. I was there in a stupid lexus and was very jealous. But as i sat out side with my 3 month old daughter they gave a parade around the hotel so that was pretty cool.

P.S. Sometimes these show up very wide on the screen. Just tap CTRL and Plus or CTRL and Minus to zoom until they fit on your screen. Reverse process to reset zoom size.

Thanks for the photos. Working at the meet did not allow a lot of time to look at the cars so these photos and video were appreciated. It was fun riding in John's car at 8000 feet!

Hey TJ, I'm glad you enjoyed.

I actually got a lot of nice videos from the Grand Tour and climbing those three mountains. I'm trying to upload a video of JM35 crossing the Kingsbury Grade between Genoa and Tahoe. It's 11 minutes long just crosing the peak and coming down into Tahoe. Will update when it's posted.

I really wanted to write back to say that you did a good thing by volunteering to help at the meet. Every volunteer I saw, and I saw quite a few, was working hard all week. So THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your efforts to make a welcoming event for all us V8'ers! A thousand thanks would not be enough.

I'll get a first-hand taste as a Volunteer next June when our RG, #36, National Capitol Region, will host the Eastern National Meet in Gettysburg.

Brendan's award winning '36 Pickup. I'd LOVE to be able to drive that EVERY DAY!

In Genoa NV. Text on marker in back right:
Nevada's First Newspaper, The Territorial Enterprise was founded at Genoa, December 8, 1858. Mark Twain began his career as a writer on its staff. Placed December 8, 1938, University of Nevada Press Club.

Checking the threads on the FordBarn V8 Forum, again! Genoa, NV

Volunteers at work, Lunch, Genoa NV

They're still out there, leaving Virginia City, NV. Miracle snapshot at 30mph!

Topping off fluids after climbing the Geiger Grade into Virginia City, NV

Baddest 'sleeper' on the highway!

This is why... And air conditioning, automatic overdrive. This car rings my bell!

We did have a great time working at the meet and we were able to make the grand tour. We're glad everyone had such a good time. It took a lot of volunteers , but everyone pitched in and that's what made it fun.

Hi Everyone, Here's the link to our ride over the Kingston Grade (JM35 at the wheel, and me trying to hold on, film, navigate, and narrate). Sorry but I didn't edit anything so if we look like goofballs, well, that's what we are!

Thanks 40cpe.

I should warn folks that there are definitely some poor photos in the Photobucket collection. I think I got shots of about 75% of the cars, some cars I got numerous times.

I'm working on posting more videos. Here's one of some of the Rouge class cars. It's about eleven minutes long. Mute the sound for most of the video, except when someone is speaking to the camera. The water truck's pump was making a terrible noise. Those guys weren't too happy with JM using up some of 'their' grass!

Good job on the video's Jeff. That '36 3w coupe was one of my favorites in the Rouge class cars. I really didn't get to see that much of the show field because we spent so much time judging cars.

It sounds like JM is still running the straight pipe. I can hear it pop in the video.

Yep, still have a straight pipe that pops when I let off the gas, and the V-8 Club judges don't like it....but I do

Hi Everyone.

JM, Where are you??

Brendan, It was a joy to get a few of your words on video. I felt like a dipwad later cuz I dissed you so badly, I just walked off after talking to you! Uncool.

41Ford1, YOU KNOW that car still has straight pipes and always will. I love following him on the highway! Heck I love driving any flattie (present company gratefully excepted).

ronford you are nice to encourage me.

I will try to get up another video or two tomorrow.

The '36 3w that JM mentioned was a highlight for me also. Including shots of the trunk here. JM led me to understand these wooden pieces are important to '36 3w restorers. This was an impossibly original '36 Ford, much less a 3w Coupe. Very hard to tell it was not repainted that's how nice the paint was. Never seen such fresh stuff on the east coast, fer sure.
