The trans attached to your Z block shows an almost readable SN. Can you make it
out from your picture? Or other pics you may have. We can look it up ok; the prefix may give extra info. Recall if trans was floor or side shift? ; big truck? Which heads?
Ed Pitts' Z block is 221ci --41a replacement engine. All, some, few, Z blks 221?
Come back with specs when you get it open.
I've a relieved 59 L too.

Is that an X at end of upper #s on bellhousing?

Gene, yes they were truck heads. That is an x at the end of the numbers. Here are the heads that were on the Z block. Ed

Hey, G32, I took that picture of my 59 Z block about 10 years ago. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure where I have that block and transmission stashed. I'll look around for it. I don't recall anything about the transmission.

Is the A head also 6050? See part # on back side top of head next to intake
surface. Good pics; hope you still have heads.
