Default schramm air compressor

Hi Guys!!

Located in Australia, We have a Schramm Air compressor here.
I am chasing any information on manifold, cam and also head gaskets.

I believe the one we have has standard side valve motor in it, Some of the manifold has been blocked off with lead.

We have tried to start the motor with no luck?

If anybody has any information eg: diagrams or blueprints of the engine
as we would love to get it running and restore it!

Thanks in advance!

If you dont get any info via the forum, try the Chinchilla Museum in qld
I visited there a few year ago and they had a compressor generator setup
They may have manuals
Web address is chinchillamuseum.com.au

I would guess that half the manifold is blocked with lead because 4 cylinders are used for the air compressor operation and the other 4 are the powerplant to drive the compressor 4 cylinders. There may be some information on the SEARCH function at the head of this page if you type in Schramm Air Compressor. Regards, Kevin.

There were two types of compressors made back them. one used the stock crankshaft and two special heads. The other used a special crankshaft and one special head. THis type is very rare, and not many were made..

Does anyone remember the painting tractors which used a six-cylinder engine: two of which were the air compressor? I remember the chemical plant where I retired from having one or two of these rigs used for outdoor painting. They got a lot of use.

Send me an email at [email protected]. I have manuals and parts, just depends on which model you have.

Schramm called their tractor/compressor a Pneumatractor.
