Default Mart's Crusty Flatty Part7. Bring on the Stunt Block.

The latest episode in the crusty flatty series is up on youtube..
One more step in (hopefully) the right direction to getting the recently acquired flathead running.

Marty, Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to share and show your
flathead adventures. It's a lot of work to make a good video. Jim

Thanks Jim.

The problem is, I do the job and film as I'm doing it. I can't do the job again if the footage isn't right.

I just have to put it together from what I've got. (Bit like everything I do!).

Thanks to Tubman for dropping into the live chat. It was a bit of a tumbleweed affair. I won't be doing that again.

Another great vid. Mart, I don't know how old you are but at times you can move extremely quickly. What brand of coffeee do you drink? LOL

I have one more suggestion. How about trying to remove one or two of those broken studs using the "bolt-washer-welder" method (or whatever you feel might work best)? I. for one would find it interesting.

I did enjoy the video, but believe it's effect was a little blunted because there could be no good ending to it, not at all like your previous efforts.

Thanks for the comments, fellas.

I know what you mean, Jim. That one's a no-hoper and it's sad to see it. But it will be instrumental in reviving the other one.

Like you say it might also be a good subject for stud removal. Problem is, what if it doesn't work? They are really very tight.

I still need to get on top of the audio quality. I'm still learning lots, about flatheads, machining and video recording.

Thanks again for the candid comments and the support.

Mart.

Mart,

Simple; don't publish the video! (I would in any event, it might be more informative than if it works.)

Never heard of it not working. If you have some really tight ones they might be good test subjects!
