1936 coupe/ sedan rear body mounts
Under the trunk floor is a channel cross member that bolts to the chassis at each end. I have the squashed remains of 2 wooden blocks, that are meant to fit between the channel and the chassis.
Can anyone help me with the original dimensions of this please? |

Re: 1936 coupe/ sedan rear body mounts
Was a thread a couple of years ago with pictures and dimensions but I haven't been able to find it. I'm pretty sure I have at least some of the info saved on a computer also and will try to find and post if nobody else offers anything first.

Re: 1936 coupe/ sedan rear body mounts
The wood blocks on my 35 coupe measure inch and 3/4 by inch and 1/2 x 2 1/2“ long The left one is slightly longer than the right one so I don’t think the length is as critical it just provides a cushion for the body mount.

I have two 35 Tudor sedans completely apart. I think those wooden pieces are still attached to that cross channel. I can take a look at them today, try to get dimensions and pics if possible. I may have been the one who posted info on these here some years ago, but CRS now.

That is great, thank you, it confirms that the better block that I have is still very squashed ant it looks as if the block should stick out of the channel by about 1/8"

Yes indeed, both blocks protrude below the bottom channel by an 1/8” or so.
