Looks like some fine engineering, but how are you going to flatten those heads? Byron.

Used to be mine, needed business capital a few years ago and had to sell it, now all I own is the pictures and the memories! It is a '33 Standard, very rare, I've tried to buy it back but no luck. Randy

Yes, Coach Maroon with Vermillion Stripe was a correct color scheme for 1933.

Standard vehicles had black wheels or color by special order and a Deluxe with this color scheme would have had Aurora Red wheels or optional black.

In 1933, fenders, fender aprons, taillamp brackets, and spare tire cover were black.

One thing incorrect on this car was that, as a Standard, the windshield stanchions and frame should have been painted black and the top material should have been black.

I've attached a picture of a different car that is a restored, black '33 Standard roadster with the correct black windshield frame, stanchions and top.

There is nothing prettier than a '33 open car, nothing.

Hi Randy,

The '33 standard roadster and the photo are really special. Any info on the photo such as the date it was taken?

I have a NOS Standard (black) '33-'34 roadster/phaeton W/S frame, complete with the original tag hanging on my TV room wall. It is not for sale.
Please tell us the story about that '34 Cabriolet !
