Your speedometer is for std models which had a 3 digit trip.Deluxes's had a 4 digit trip. The dual temp gauge is an authorized accessory.

I notice the door in the picture is a "front latch" door. Wouldn't that make it an early 34 not a late one if the door is original to the body?
OOPS, yeah the car is a 33. Sorry, I couldn't find any way to delete this post.

My 33, 5 Window Coupe is a Deluxe and is in the Ford Museum in Auburn. Now it has a radio in the Ash Tray hole. Its been a good wile since I have seen it. I believe it a true Deluxe. If my son was alive we were going to restore it to Henry Standards.

It is easy to delete the text if you want and just put in something like "delete" in it's place.

You mentioned that you thought the original color of the dash was behind the dash. The dash color from what I understand on deluxe models were woodgrain for '33 and a burl wood finish for '34. Plain dash colors were reserved for standard models.

Both '33 and '34 deluxe dashes had burl walnut graining. There were two standard dash colors for the '33s, 'interior gray' carried over from the '32 standard models for early '33 standard models and dark maroon for late '33 standard dashes as shown in the photo below. (Neither the grain on the deluxe dashes nor the colors of the painted standard dashes in post #4 above conform to the originals.)

JSeery, I guess if there is no way to make the post disappear, making it empty is the next best thing, Thanks!

In the first photo, look at the floor and firewall. It appears to have been modified. Kind of looks like the kit that "bitchin products" marketed. Just an observation...

David, with respect, and I acknowledge your vast background and resources... I have a very late 33 or early 34 standard 4-dr that we have discussed previously. You have previously helped identify it from the serial number and features. I believe it is a very original car, with lots showing to support my idea that it has very original paint (especially on the dash and other interior parts). The dash is black on my car. Definitely not maroon. Is there a possibility that what I am calling 'black', is actually 'interior gray' ?
