Default Model A 13 SW 4D Town Sedan Restoration Pictures

WOW! It has been three years to get to this point.

I have wired the engine compartment and installed the fuel line.

All that remains is to connect the gauges in the dash.

The countdown now is started to fire up the engine in August. This will be the first time in over 50 years that the engine has run.

I thank you all who have helped me get to this point in the restoration. I am now three years into a six year plan to restore the Model A.

The first picture is where I started. The second two are of the engine compartment today.

Thank everybody!!!!!!

The engine is original to the Model A as I received it, however, the number on the engine did not match the number on the frame.
To the best of my 45 year old memory, my brother, when he owned it, sent the engine out to be overhauled. One of his sons has the same memory. I am going with that.

The engine spins easily. I had a devil of the time getting the flywheel reattached!! If was if the engine knew something good was about to happen!!!

Thanks,

Just a hint, when installing the flywheel, orient the pins horizontal, not vertical. I know this is a bit late for you, but who knows, others may use it.

Looks Great John.
Sometimes putting the flywheel on, can be difficult because of the cotter pin. I use guide studs, cut to 2 different lengths.
Hope you get it running real soon. Keep us posted. Jeff
