Vic, That just might be the very first time I've seen that '39 CS with its top up.

Thanks for all the compliments on the '39. Like me, she looks better in pictures... I've had the car for twenty-eight years, driven it up and down the East Coast from NY to Florida and from Tampa to Dawsonville, GA for the Moonshine Festival a bunch of times. Tom, yes you guys did ride with me in the '39 at that event, and John, I think you might be right about it being the first time you've seen it with the top up... To answer your previous question Tom, I just put out fires when they happen... My Flatheads are from '39 to '53 and include a V-12 and a 337 Lincoln... true to Ford, they are all the same but different...

Dick, I don't know yet, haven't talked with any of the guy's. If you've got any ideas, let me know and I'll put something together.

Here's "just right"! Not sure what you're doing to get so "bigly". I click the thumbnail ONCE to make it the size below. I then right-click, left click on "Properties". Right-click and copy the URL. Click on the YELLOW MOUNTAIN thingie, right click and paste the URL, then hit "OK"......works every time! DD

I guess I'm a slow learner when it comes to mastering photo posting on FordBarn... I'll give it another try, following your instructions.

I tried that one before, and was quickly reminded that magnets also repel!

And now for something completely different… Well not really. My hobby, for over fifty years, has been antique and classic automobiles. Now I’ve got a chance to take it to the next level. I’m involved with a group here in Tampa Bay that will be producing a Concours ‘d Elegance, world class automotive event. Currently we are in the early stages of development and we’ll be seeking support from local, regional, national and international companies. If you are interested in finding out more about this event, please contact me here on the FordBarn, on LinkedIn, or email [email protected].

Much to my chagrin… water is still exiting from the ’39 Ford Flathead. However, I did find the problem. I spotted a small amount of rust stain on one of the head studs. I cleaned the rust off and coated the stud and nut with clear nail polish, and let it dry overnight. This morning I checked and saw a small bead of water between the nut and stud… Hopefully I can remove, clean and replace the one stud without having to pull the head off . The fun just never ends…

Here's something that might be of interest to some of you. I've been working on creating a Concours 'd Elegance event to be held in the Tampa Bay Area. As of this writing, we are in the early start up stage, looking for a venue that can support an event of this kind, as well as soliciting sponsorships, etc. We are projecting a date for the event to take place in the Fall of 2019. If you, your company and/or organization would like to get involved, or want additional information about the project, send me a PM and I'll provide particulars as they stand at the moment.

Still dealing with the mystery of how the cooling system in the '39 CS is losing coolant??? It is still getting foam in the radiator, albeit not as much as it was initially. I've pulled the spark plugs and they all are clean, no evidence of moisture on any of them. With the engine running, I've held my hands up to the dual exhaust pipe ends and get no moisture from them. To further exacerbate the situation, the coolant system does not lose any fluid while the engine is not running, nor does it lose any fluid sitting overnight... I am, and continue to be perplexed… Perhaps I’m being a bit too anal about this but, the fact remains… Coolant is escaping somehow… Still not happy.
