Not yet, so far he's between Cloudmist Gray and Folkstone Gray. As you could see from the photo I'd posted, we're a ways off from color choice.

This is going to be a very fun project for me in that it will be my first

I'm anxious too! Who doesn't love a convertible, and a 40? No mystery to many of you that the non original part won't ruffle my feathers. Mustang 2 front? Just kidding Kube. Can't wait to watch this one.

You guys are hilarious. Thanks for putting a well needed smile on this ugly mug of mine.

Still attempting to nail down the exact specs. So far, it's sounding to be a very tasteful build. NO modern poopy and NO billet. Just subtle little things that a guy will have t look twice, three times to notice.

Remember I'm just the cook on this project. My boss provides the recipe.

Absolutely. I'm interested in everything as well. In particular I'm interested in how you brace the body when you remove it from the frame. A great tutorial.

This one wasn't worth the effort (time) to brace as it is really in need of some serious work. Whoever had it in the past did not know the first thing about measuring.

Here's a photo of the last convertible I'd restored showing the bracing.

Had a 40 conv. when I was i the navy. It was a " moon shiners" car amd had been Rolled. The right side windshield post was bent an straightened with a come along, I think. Door didn't work very well either. Paid 50 bucks and it had one hell on an engine in it..

Great Picture's. Just curious, did you weld the frame to the actual body of the car? An inquiring mind wants to know. You certainly couldn't have had any movement with that structure.
