Default 55 Club Sedan motor mounts

Hi everyone,
I just joined and am happy to see such a great amount of information available. I recently bought a 55 Club Sedan that had been converted to a 302/c-4. The guy that did the work obviously didn't possess the same set of standards that I do. I've since done a lot of changes, repairs and upgrades but need to replace the motor mount rubber. The 302 fits nicely but the old engine mounts were reused and I'd like to replace them. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hard to say how he did the conversion...

Might have to pull a mount (sit engine back down on frame mount on a 2 X 4) and inspect it.

Please watch your fingers...

If the mounts are stock Ford they could be either of these;

84 Lincoln Mk VII Anchor 2725 and 2726
or
1976 F150 302

The rubber is not replaceable, you have to change the whole mount.

I don't have any experience with these, but is info I picked up from various sources.

Seems like I remember someone else talking about these mounts and maybe you switch sides with them to use in when swapping from Y Blocks?????

With the Lincoln mounts, the spacer is not required so I am told. The are supposed to be i inch taller than the other mounts.

Hey Jeff...

What engine mount is pictured below? -

Is this the FORD C3AZ 6038-G & H (or aftermarket 63/64 FORD 260/289)?

It shows no spacers used...

These can be swapped side to side one way is forward the other way closer to the firewall (this helps with a C4)

And that will allow the C4 to sit correctly on the original trans cross-member (considering the engine placement is correct)?

If so it makes for a clean swap.

THANX!

Actually the AOD is better fit than the C4 it's mount distance is exactly the same as the Ford-O-Matic or 3 speed stick. Here is a picture of my own AOD on the stock trans cross member in my '54. With either a C4 or AOD you can use a 1982-86 Crown Vic drive shaft with a NEAPCO 2-0291 conversion U-joint and it will bolt right up to the stock rear end.

Here is a 1953 Ford using the Butch's 15'' kit with a 302 & AOD (the same mount is in their kit) & same drive shaft.

The chart here shows the difference in mounting distances (measurement "C") http://non-stoptransmission.com/en/info-ford.php This is why you may have to play with a C4 just a bit about 2".

How is your AOD performing? Is your conversion a driver or performance, carb'd or injected??

THANX for that chart!

Mine is a .040'' over 302, heads are 289 Hi-Po with mild Ford Motorsports hydraulic Cam same specs as this one: http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=3061&gid=338 Intake is a Professional Products Typhoon with a 625 CFM Carter Competiton Series AFB Hedman 88400 headers.Since mine had the 3 speed overdrive rear gears are 4:10's if you run an AOD with anything steeper than 3:55's you need this:https://www.summitracing.com/parts/trg-aod-hirev or it upshifts too quick at lower speeds. She is just a driver if i was to beat on it a rear end swap would be in order.
