Default Avatar Box...

Why do some Avatar Box's have a RED "X" in them?

Wow,I haven't noticed that. You have A: great powers of observation and B: way to much time on your hands! I'd send a question to Ryan and let us know what you find out.

Pluck, I just looked through a bunch of threads and didn't see any with a red x. Could you give us a link to one or more that you have seen with a red x? It may be some glitch with the way it is being sent. There are a few people that send me e-mails with pictures in them and all I get is a box with a red x. If I left click on them it will ask if I want to "download picture". Most of the times when I click on "download picture" it will change into a picture, but lately I have had some that just remained a red x. Hope this makes sense. Don/WI

I see red "X"'s when i don't bother to log in before reading the posts. If I log in, then they become pictures.

Steve,

This is not a Fordbarn problem. It is on your end, or somewhere between your computer and the Fordbarn server.

Check out this link for more information from Microsoft on this issue:

I think it means you've been black-balled by the Vidalia Consortium.

It means that the posting of the avatar went wrong. In the case of "in post" Red "X"s it indicates that the attachment is for members only.

Yes guys...I think I got black-balled, hijacked or what ever you wish to call it.

Fordbarn is the only site out of about 75 plus that is giving me fits.

How would you like to sit for about 80 seconds to go from one place to the other with each click of the mouse?

Hell, the boys who control this site can not even look into the matter.

Red X's in Avatars, getting "timed out", having to go back a do it all over again...it ain't worth it anymore.

Steve, who are you using for Virus Control?? I had a problem a couple of years ago, when it was time to renew with MaAfee. After I signed on again for another Year, I was having the same Red + syndrome, until I unlocked the Feature. I had to go into the Program Features to let Photos Load.

I dropped Mcafee and loaded in a couple of free ones, one for adware and one for malware on my computer, no more slow surfing, errors loding pages, and more "hits" on possible problems when visiting new sites.
