40 woody top rear trim installation
I'm having trouble finding an original example or information on the trim piece that goes on the rear of the 1940 Ford top. I think the small chrome piece that is on the end of my side rain gutter is not an original Ford piece. Maybe it is and I'm wrong about that. What do you think? The trim piece I'm holding up that goes across the back of the car above the rear window has two small chrome pieces that go at the ends on each side. I'm not sure how the piece goes on the car and how it would have been attached to the car by Ford in 1940 if it is indeed the correct piece. Any body out there know the correct pieces and methods used on the '40 station wagons for the side and rear trim pieces?

Those end caps are not correct the hidem ends should tuck behind the finish caps that you have on each end of the side drip mouldings .The hidem should be the same colour as the top material. Did you get the front filler moulding problem solved .If you still need one and if you send me a paper patern I can supply one .Johnny.
