It is from a 38, 39 Lincoln Zepher.

That is not a '38 or '39 LZ steering wheel. I can't post photos but if you check out Ken Alabama's latest post on his '39 LZ Coupe, you'll see what the '39 LZ steering wheel looks like.

I wonder if the splines are from the wheel being forced on a shaft with splines. Is the hole tapered and the splines only in the small end? As posted on the HAMB, it sure looks like wheel I did not get off a 37 Lincoln.

This is the 38-39 Zephyr wheel . The center hub in your wheel is larger than the 38-39.

What's interesting it has a taper .625 long and a .500 long splines and add a keyway as well. I never had a Lincoln but tried different horn buttons and the reason for the post. I can machine one to fit but would like to find a correct one.

My lazy self looked up 37 Lincoln and it sure is not that. As someone previously suggested, it may be British. Hope someone knows.

Looks like it might be off an old Jaguar or MG TD.

Splined type hubs generally don't have a big keyway as that one does. I don't know of an Ford product that would have used that wheel. It could have come from a boat for all I know.

Could it be home made ? Looking closer it seems to have been assembled ( spokes ) then epoxy overhead two of the 3 sets of stainless ? rods .

It's difinitely not homemade the way it's constructed and cast plastic looks to be untouched but is a bit dirty and uncleaned. Plus Alfin has one exactly on his 1932 roadster and he's wondering the same thing what's it from?

I never though of a boat and they used many suppliers . I was hoping to find a name like Shillings on it but no luck. I have to check out my old speed catalogs for aftermarket steering wheels... Thanks for the reply

I found another picture of the wheel but this time in a Rodding and Re-styling from 1958. I am a book junkie and can't read enough and the other night a ran across this hot rod 1932 cabriolet . Thanks
