Wow! Truck looks GREAT! I love seeing transformations of rusty piles of gold, into a gorgeous looking automobile.

Happy to see the MT address--I need local (+/- 300 miles) contacts. Just got my 31 PU and need advice.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Its snowing today so glad I got to drive it yesterday. I will post as I progress thru the last few things. What does everyone use for windlass for the doors. I don't see it listed in Mikes or Macs.

Just put new wood and a top on an early 28 pickup myself and I know what a job that is! You have done good work here and to see it go from trailer to traveler is cause for celebration.

Congratulations Richard!

I knew you could do it.

Neil Wilson, who is head of the Ford Model AA Truck Club www.fmaatc.org might be able to tell you about the windlace in those cabs...He did a bang-up article on the restoration of one in one of his yearly magizines, The Double A'er...Maybe you can get him to send you a copy.

Yo' FirstA,
Iffin' you git cold, the "A" suppliers have 2 sizes of 1/2 round, hollow, self adhesive weatherstripping that you can put around the doors. If you put it on the door itself, it's almost invisable. Removes easily, & sticks & unsticks many times while you're getting it fitted well. Helps rattles too. You have to poke around in their catalogs or website to find it, but it's there. The wide one fits good in the drain trough on trunks & grumble seats & nobody even notices it! Bill W.
