Default 36 plain steel headlight rings

I picked up a pair of NOS 36 headlight rings that are not stainless steel, They are plain steel and painted. What model used this ring? Every model I ever saw had stainless steel rings. Or is this a old re pop.

They could be reproduction or service parts as has been suggested in a previous post.

Or WWII service parts, like painted, plain steel hubcaps, cast iron pedal pads, etc., etc..

Those would probably look great chrome plated!

Just like standard '35, '36, and '37 standard grilles (in good shape, of course).

I have had 1939 Ford deluxe headlight rims that were painted black too.

Look carefully at the front. If they have a rolled lip on the inside they are likely 1941-47 Truck/COE.

Yes, I was thinking about chrome plating them, I agree they would look nice. I looked at the front and it just kind of turns flat, But I will test fit it.
I need to drill out the rivet on the latch to chrome it. Does anyone know where I can get two new rivets, Because no one has the latch rebuild kits anymore.

A&L Parts Specialties, Canton, CT has the latch rebuilding kits.
