Default 35 pickup door & roof panels

I need to order interior (old style cardboard) door, roof and interior panels for my early 35 pickup. Have been told that the early 35's with side window garnish mouldings take a different panel than the later model 35's.

Cartouche only sells one 1935 pattern panel and the window and door handle holes don't match on the earlier models.

Anyone have any experience with a similar problem ?.

Thank you for sharing any help

Sorry I cant help much, I ended up just making my own door panels etc, wasn't hard. Though mine did have some sort of hardened plastic roof lining already in.. Not sure if its a genuine type? Pretty sure I have two different doors a 36 and a 35..? So worked out better I made my own.

You might try LeBaron Bonney co. My 35 P.U. was the pattern truck for the re-pop interior parts. kx

Janko, There should be no difference in the location of the window crank and interior door handle holes between an early 35 door and later doors. The main difference will be along the top edge of the panel. Your early door panel was held in place at the top by the garnish molding and has no holes for push pins. See if they will supply you panels with out holes along the top edge.

I bought a Cartouche panel kit the door panels didn't have the holes in the right places and the headliner did not even come close to fitting. I tried cutting it down but most of the cardboard got bent and ruined . Never again will I buy anything Cartouche. Worst of all I don't know what to do now.

I have made a lot of my own interior panels. The local interior trim supply place had the panel material.

When I did my door panels I got some double sided tape, and a roll of tracing paper. Taped the paper to the door and marked the places for the outer edges and all the holes I wanted. Then got some sheets of 1/8" ABS plastic transferred the shape over, cut it with a jigsaw and sanded the edges nice, covered it with padding and upholstery material. Worked out GREAT! The same thing would work with cardboard or any other type of sheet goods. The ABS often comes with different surface finishes, might could locate a grained pattern that would be perfect. ABS can be shaped with a heat gun to retain a molded shape also.
