Default 7/16" square brake wrench

Does anyone know where I can purchase a 7/16" square wrench? I purchased a wrench from a quality parts supplier, however the quality is awfullly bad. I have a photo of the wrench type I am looking for.

Same as Kurt. A mile down the road the guy used to be a Ford mechanic and had a garage sale. I didn't know about the sale until the third day, but still found some good tools, like the brake wrench for $1.

You could try Bert's. 800-321-1931

I will check my tool box. Seems I have some extra 4 point Snap-On sockets that I used for brake adjustments many years back on tow tractors.

I have a set of 8 point sockets. I found the socket and ratchet awkward. That's why I was looking for a wrench.

I appreciate your effort, Thank You.

You can find them on e-bay too, but would be more than the $20 that Don just posted above. That sounds like a reasonable price

Tom - I got extra lucky and picked up a Herbrand one at a garage sale for a whopping $.50 last summer along with a torque converter for the head bolt right by the distributor and two others I found were for Chevrolet cars for $1.50 each- nearly wrenched my wrist off getting the wallet out and finding a five to pay with. Once in a lifetime... Why couldn't it have been the winning lottery ticket?

I bought an old one at Hershey for $4. I cleaned it up and am happy with it.

What you seek is a machinist's lathe tool post wrench. There are some available on eBay in various sizes, at least 3 are 7/16".

John; I have seen them, and actually bid on one. The tool post wrench is very short, and the real brake wrench is much longer, and gives much better leverage.
I bought a extremely nice wrench from Don Turley (Ford Barn swap meet).
