Panel Delivery

I am interested in a 29 Panel Delivery. Can anyone tell me how many were made in 29? How rare are they? This is not an AA.

What is one worth that has no top, no interior, rusted out back door bottoms, and missing engine parts like distrib. and water pump?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Looks like 22,012 (79A) were made in 1929. As for price and rarity, I'll let someone else chime in on that

There is a nice looking 1931 panel delivery for sale in the swap meet section. You may be better off money wise buying a more complete one.

Although there are no precise numbers, it's a safe estimate that Ford built about 8,000 of the same model the first half of 1930.

30-31 deluxe deliveries are much larger than 28-29s. I love mine and I've driven it 45,000 miles, in 10 countries and most western states, since I restored it in 1981. It currently is running a B engine with oil pressure and a Thomas head.

If thats the one spdway1 found it's not a 29 looks like a 30- 31 to me , but still a nice start for a project

That is not the one. I found that one, and it is a 31, and has a roof and the doors are not rusty. My brother has it now, and he has it running, and will restore it.

Nope, not that one. This one is all put together. The wood is rotten from the rear axel back. The sub rails look OK up front. It is rough, but restorable and enough wood for patterns. It is a 29. So there were around 8,000 made - how many still around? I have never seen one in person before.

I saw that nice 31 in the swap meet on the Ford Barn - very nice. But this one needs a lot of work and deserves to be saved.......I think?

Just to be clear, that model is a 79-A. The 79-A Panel Delivery was built for almost 2-1/2 years until June 1930 when it was replaced with the "new" 79-B late in the month. There were approximately 34,000 built over the period. There is no way to know how many have survived. They are not common but I'm not ready to call them "rare".
