Spring Carlisle
Thought about going to spring Carlisle that started today, but there was a news headline that the Pennsylvania health department is sueing them for having the show.
Is anyone there? Or known if its getting shut down? |

Re: Spring Carlisle
It was foolhardy of the organizers to proceed despite all of the other car-related events being cancelled in the state. Evidently they didn't seek the state health department's approval or they asked the wrong person.

The news I've seen is from a day or two ago. Is it happening? Has anyone been there?

It's on, lightly attended. Wolf went to court to shut it down, it's being appealed, lots of drama. Article here - https://www.pennlive.com/news/2020/0...D1BwJCRluGX_dg

Re: Spring Carlisle
I've been doing everything possible to catch it for 3 months now. What am I doing wrong. We are all going to die someday of something. If you knew you had 3 months to live, how would you feel about the government cancelling the last 3 months of your life.
What no one is discussing is the number of deaths from this quarantine. That might make it inconvenient. It's like putting in a cam because you like the lumpy idle but the car runs like crap at every other point. Let's just ignore that.

Re: Spring Carlisle
There is more than enough hospital beds, millons was spent building tent hospitals that werent used. The Navy hospital ships werent used.Quarantine isnt necessary, social distancing is debatable..if you have co morbidity or geriatric (not old, ancient ) take precautions..other than that its all politics and loss of freedom.

Despite a Pennsylvania Health Department lawsuit filed this week against Carlisle Events seeking to shut down the twice-postponed Spring Carlisle show and swap meet, Carlisle officials intend to keep the event's gates open through this weekend.

So the hospital workers who have had to and continue to deal with this are just faking it! Not a loss of freedom its common sense to try and protect one another.

A friend went and while he sold stuff he said it is not as goos as it usually is. He did not seem to regret his decision to go.

Reality is so far in the state where im located over 4000 deaths and not from a flu but from something they call a virus thats not fake stuff for our hospital workers. Keep hoping the hospitals in your area don't see any of this but heck sounds like they could use the business.

Re: Spring Carlisle
Seems too be a lot of people here that don't mind spreading a dangerous bug to others or getting it themselves. If you get it, it can kill you. 146,000 deaths are real. And not just old folks in a nursing home.
There have been a number cases where people have thought masks and social distancing were infringes on their rights - then they caught the virus and are singing a different tune. Lots of denial of science among a certain group of people. Maybe the earth is flat??
