Default Unusual 1936 Ford Springs

I have a pair of front and rear springs taken out from under a 36 slant back sedan here in Australia, an old barn find down south...from memory it sat in a old farm shed for 45 years before being moved to another shed from where I bought it from the last owner.

Shown in the images are the front spring, the back is identical.

The original pack has a 3 part spring system added, 2 corrugated springs and a 3rd smaller spring which is sat reversed over the centre bolt.

Were these an unusual factory option or a custom spring works design.
The ole car must have seen some rough roads in its day to have this under it.

Thanks old 46. So these were a commercial option?

Knowing our roads and lack of infrastructure in 36, that these "may" have been added from the commercial range to compensate for country roads and no roads as I cannot see what extra sedans could carry other than the family and goods from town.

The basic spring appears like 35 Ford USA. The second longest leaf did not wrap over the eye of the longest leaf. No grease Zerk fitting and no channel for grease to flow down the leaf. In the USA 36 had the channel the Zerk lube fitting and special tie bolt, plus the second longest leaf did wrap the longest.

I think the wavy design is at least partly to allow easy bolt-on installation without the need to remove spring from car or disassemble anything.
The hump in the middle (in Australia, up here it's a valley) allows it to go over the U-bolts, smaller waves pass right over the spring clamps, cupped area around eye keeps it located in use and while installing, Oops...I now see it is divided in the middle and hump is a separate part...halves could be installed by simply loosening one U bolt at a time and sliding under...how was the hump part put in??
