OD transmission question
I have a '51 Victoria with the 3 speed OD. What other year OD's are the same and will fit? Thanks in advance.

Re: OD transmission question
No other year is a direct fit, although most of the internals will swap out. The main difference is in the mount on the bottom.

Re: OD transmission question
1951 was a change over year. FoMoCo 3-speed standard and overdrive transmissions changed over to the later type gears with the diamond cut teeth plus changes to the aft engine/transmission mount. Even the late 51 Merc OD transmission carried a different part number but they are very similar. In 1952, the transmissions were standardized more for both the Ford cars and the Mercury cars.
