Default 53 Ford passenger car hood hinge boxes

Had the hood off car for 2 months. When re installing the drivers side hinge front support had to be pushed back to align hole for bolt. Trying to close and the rear of of hood sticks up till it is pushed down at cowl. The passenger side holes lined up with not much hassle. The boxes have been rebuilt about 4 years ago. The hood closed good before taking of hood. any clues

Did you make any "register marks" on the hinges and the cowl BEFORE you removed the hood? If not, I think you will have to keep playing with it until you get it to work.

if your hood is closing good-drill small pilot hole in the hinges and hood before removing, use those holes to line up hood ,they will be your register marks ,Harold central coast Ca.
