License plates
I have three cars not all of them are Model A’s. I think I want to buy the correct year license plate for each car. 31, 55, and 67. I live in Louisiana. Is there a drawback to this is Louisiana? Will the registration of the plates every year cost the same as my modern vehicles? Ideas please!

Re: License plates
This may vary . It would probably be best to ask this question at your. court house . We get our tags at the probate office at the court house .

Re: License plates
Check with your state license department or look on line for your state they are the ones that will have the final say in the matter.

Re: License plates
As stated, each state handles this differently. In Illinois we just buy an "Antique" plate and the keep it in the car, display the year of manufacture plate and we're good to go. Some states require that you 'register' the plate number that you want to use as the actual plate. I have the same plate number on two of my cars, a 1930 and 1931 so in Illinois as I have YOM plate in those years I can use them.

Re: License plates
Here you go,
http://web01.dps.louisiana.gov/Omv1....3?OpenDocument "The law provides for the use of antique license plates issued the same year as the model year of the motor vehicle. The license plate must indicate the year the plate expired. For example, an automobile plate which was issued in Louisiana and indicates an expiration year of 1950 can be assigned to a 1950 model year vehicle. The Office of Motor Vehicles does not issue this type plate. An Individual must provide the plate before making application to use it on a vehicle. "
