probably nothing. farmers(everyone becomes a farmer once on a tractor.) can drive tractors on roads. seemed we put slow moving vehicle signs on trailers and water tanks but never the tractor. My thinking is if you dont see this you wont see the sign. but to satisfy even the most bored of traffic cops. brakes windshield, wiper, headlights taillight brakelight insurance registration and a horn.

On a doodlebug? Triangle sign and a bale of hay should get you out of most troubles.

To register a vintage tractor, for me at least, it is only needed to have a light that serves as a tail light, in red, rear facing. A while light cast from that onto the license plate, 2 headlights, working brakes, tires that have 1.5mm tread, steering that doesn't wobble all over the road and a horn.

Not all that difficult.
