Default double inlet muffler?

On my 49 coupe, would like single rear exhaust, but not run crossover pipe into right side manifold. Thinking about double inlet, single outlet muffler. Any comments?

Shop can do a "Y" cross over near the back of trany then single pipe into a muffler.
