180A Anti Squeak/Rattle Mounting Pads
The 180A and I believe all wood sill Model A bodies, were mounted to the frames with the pads shown in the drawing by Steely Dan that I have attached. I have attached a photo of two of the pads showing the #14 Blue Steel upholstery tacks that held the pad to the wood as it was mounted to the frame. I have beat myself to death trying to find these pads in the parts books and then a drawing...can someone give me a clue how to find the part number and what the part is called.
Interesting to note the gloss lack enamel remaining on the shank of the bolts. It's automotive archaeology. Last edited by swo4rd; 06-11-2013 at 10:05 PM. Reason: forgot to attach photos |
