Default No spark

1947 Ford deluxe v8. 12 volt. New battery, new pro billet distributor, rotor and cap with red wire to positive side of coil black wire to negative, new 1.5 ohm coil, new plug wires. Checked with test light 12 volts to coil. Checked plug wires with ohm meter for continuity because were new. Checked 3 different plugs for spark. Not using any of cars wiring, just a jumper wire to coil and a jumper to activate starter. And no spark, where do i start? Thanks

I'm not familiar with a pro billet distributor. Are you saying there are two wires from the distributor that connect to the coil? Not sure I understand how that would work. Where are you connecting the battery power to?

Yes that is the distributor i have. But i dont have the cdi box in the second picture. I have a normal 12 volt round coil with a + and - and a wire to the distributor cap. According to the instructions the 2 wires from the distributor; a red and black, go to + and - on coil. And i need 1 wire from battery to + on coil for power. It says i dont need resister ballast or cdi box if i use the 1.5 ohm coil

The instructions online state .5 to 1.0 ohm coil max or it voids the warranty. Can you post a picture of the instructions on the box, them seem to be totally different from the ones posted online. The online ones have the Red and Orange or Green wire to the coil and the Black wire to ground.

9108352 distributor has two wires. Black goes to negative side of coil. If you use a coil with the proper ohm rating of 1.5 ohms then the red wire hooks direct to the positive terminal. If you do not have the proper ohm rating coil then you need to add a ballast resistor such as 5478214 in the red wire going to the positive side of the coil.
1 6 the 1.5 ohm coil is for 8-cylinder engines with 12 volt system. they were designed for breakerless ignitions.
