The MARC Board of Directors voted to delay this issue so that Helen Erhenhofer was given time to process and include the pictures and coverage from the Lexington National Meet in this issue as opposed to waiting more than two months to read about it in the September/October Magazine.

Helen has worked hard and put in much overtime to get this info ready for the presses, and for those of you that know the quality of the pictures that both Helen and Ken Ehrenhofer provide, you will appreciate the wait.

We are blessed to have one of the finest auto related magazines in this entire country. I would hope we can give 'space' where 'space' is need. Helen, as the editor of The Model A News has given us a magazine worthy of The Golden Quill Award for seven consecutive years. It will be worth the wait. The magazine is expected to leave the printers tomorrow.

For those of you that attended the Lexington AWARDS Banquet, I apologize on behalf of the MARC Board of Directors for inadvertantly neglecting to give Helen her 'props' for such outstanding work.

Thanks Will for the post and report!

It is always nice to see one of the Board of Directors, weather it be MARC or MAFCA, report to us here on the Barn.

Thanks RockHillWill for the explanation. It's a great publication and I'm happy to wait without pressuring Helen and Ken and staff. Ken has also been very busy on some excellent displays at the new Model "A" building at the Gilmore Museum.
Thanks for all your great work.

For what it's worth: I cannot remember where I was when this was explained to me at a post office somwhere a counter person explained to another customer that the mail delivery system is spread out like a spider web made by a drunk spider. They go from major distribution centers to local distribution centers, etc., but for some reason they cris cross non-uniformly, and some paths are inherently longer than others. My understanding is that it is like mailing something in Chicago, it goes to a center in Denver, than to Dallas, only to be delivered in Peoria, etc. It was explained that some long distance addresses receive mail sooner than an address that might be closer. Bulk mailings are particular slow arrivals, as bulk distribution center are more sparsely located.

Additionally, I learned last week that there was a several days delay at the printers.

Just thoughts.

I live about an hour away from where the Model A News is printed and shipped out from and I still have yet to receive mine. That's how it goes with USPS...

I received mine a few days ago, actually, the same day the Restorer came, once again prompting me to wonder, Why?

I waited into March, called MARC and they mailed me one immediately, arriving in maybe four days on Long Island. The original one has still not arrived and I feel it never will.

This thread was started last summer, I hope that issue has arrived by now! My first issue in 2014 arrived Saturday.

My Jan-Feb 2014 issue sent THROUGH NORMAL USPS DISTRIBUTION arrived March 17, weeks behind the ones mailed direct from MARC following my complaint of non-receipt.
It was over a month in transit.
Yes, Mike, I noted the date origins of the ORIGINAL thread, but I had followed up on the current post. I guess it wasn't the snow that slowed your's down on The Sunny Treasure Coast like the excuse I hear up on Long Island for anyone's procrastination.
