I don't know but would guess it could, but might be less efficient. A&L sells the double venturi and I think some other parts houses do also.

I've seen an adapter for this, in a story in Secrets long ago. But like Tom says it probably won't be as efficient. But if you really want to...why not?

See pages 8 & 9 in Paul Moller's "The Model A Ford Carburetors" book. The main and cap jets are in different places on the double and single carbs, and the jets appear to be shorter in the double venturi carb.

The early double venture does not have a removable secondary well and as such uses a # 18 (.036) compensator jet, a # 10 (.021) idle jet with a slightly longer fuel pickup tube. The Cap jet has the orfice at the bottom of the jet while the later Cap jets has the orfice at the top of the jet. As mentioned before the Main and Cap jets are in line while the later carbs the Cap jet is off set.
There is a later Double venture that was built with a removable secondary well; If someone happens to have a Holley with this feature I would be interested in obtaining one ?
