Had me fooled ,I figured if it didnt run GOOD with the electronic IGN ,and ran well with standard IGN ,could not possible be trouble in fuel system. I was thinking too much spark advance also. Glad you got her goin.I love Ford Barn!!

The E.I. system ran great for over a year before it stopped working one day (no spark). It was sent back and all components checked out good. After receiving the parts back and reinstalling the EI there still was no spark. I then removed the EI , installed the original point system and the engine started right up but ran poorly. After finding and removing the crushed fuel filter it now starts and runs through the timing advances as it should. What happened here? Is the EI faulty? Why didn't it run bad before with the fuel restriction when the EI was working? Why did the poor running only show up after changing back to points? The filter had been in place for some time. I have more questions than answers but at least I have a running car again.
