1930 Tudor Windshield Wiper
When the weather is nice I use my 1930 Model A Tudor as a daily driver to work. It is about 9 miles each way and the roads are lightly traveled. I have been lucky and have not been caught in the rain yet, but it will happen. The vacuum motor does not work well, but I have read a little 3 in 1 oil will loosen things up.
Here is my question. When I am driving at speed or driving into the wind my wiper lifts off the windshield. The wiper can not do any good if it is not touching the windshield. I would like to replace the arm and the wiper with something that will hold tighter to the windshield. Any recommendations?? |

I would use Rain-X and forget the wiper.
If you get a stronger spring tension on the blade, the wiper may not work at all. |

Tom Is spot on,I have a 30 Tudor and Rain-X will not allow rain to stay on the surface of the windshield because its flat. |

Re: 1930 Tudor Windshield Wiper
I have been pretty lucky with my 30 Tudor wiper. It does take some fiddling to get the tension set. Last summer the damn thing flew off and they ARE a pain in the ass to reinstall. Although I have Rainex on the glass I prefer the wiper to work. I finally read the service bulletins on the install procedure and dang if it didn't work just fine. LOL
