Re: 1935 Fordor Header Panel
Great pictures Randy! Shows the attachment problem when trying to use a '36 header panel in a '35.
As for the garnish moldings the only difference I am aware of is the early moldings didn't have a lip. Later '35 and '36 have a lip. I believe all the moldings (lip or non-lip) are interchangeable. Tom |

Re: 1935 Fordor Header Panel
Tom: Are the pictures that Randy posted of the tack strips the same as you have on your 35? Dave

Re: 1935 Fordor Header Panel
Dave-
Found this old picture. If you look closely you can see the tack bar. Tom |

Re: 1935 Fordor Header Panel
Tom:
Thanks for the pictures. I made new wood and opened the tack strip up and inserted the wood so I should be able to mount them and then figure out what header I have. John mentioned that it was a very tight fit to get the header panel in so maybe it is just operator error I think with the tack strips in place it is going to be a different story. We though that the header panel also held the headliner in place. The tack strips really changes the game and gives a place for the top of the header to rest against. Thanks everyone for your help Dave Last edited by Dave/Green Bay; 12-07-2015 at 03:56 PM. |
