Beautiful car, but $46,900!!!!!! The current listing is almost over. It has been listed before without a sale. A seller can ask anything. In the past you could see if there had been any "best offers" but no longer.

Yes, it is out of my budget, but doubt you could have one done for that price.

Lots of photos ... Many of which are worthless because they are too dark or from 30 feet away and cannot see any detail.

Seems like a dealer would have photos by a Professional!

Fluorescent lights are not the best for good photos.

I am curious ... can anyone see in the darkness of the photos if there are any shocks?

Are the headlights & radiator shell chrome instead of nickel?

Looks like it. Also, the passenger compartment upholstery is wrong (should not be black), and the windshield frame and rail should be lower body color.

Ah poo! Was ready to write a check but don't like the wheel color and the lower hose clamp is in the wrong place! LOL You would think that with all the money spent on the car the tools would be in the same shape. Like I have that kind of money kicking around.

The rumble seat should be rolled and pleated. And it's Too shiny, it doesn't look right.

They don't even go for that at Barrett Jackson.

Very nice looking car, That being said, No you could not restore one like that for that price .. But it does have many SMALL & Big things wrong as far as Marc & Mafca Judging goes.. I dont think it would make the final judging floor..P.S. The rumble seat is Correct, except for the color and the front seat also "looks" color correct.. Even the lug nuts are chrome !!..

Seriously guys? To begin with, the eBay listing is nothing more than a for sale ad. No one, -including the rich & wealthy is going to hit the Buy-It-Now button without physically seeing it, ...so the mindset that he hasn't sold any of what he has listed isn't really applicable.

The price that is listed is a starting point because Buyers like to negotiate, -and they like to trade. Suppose a prospective Buyer has a 1978 Ford Torino 4-door that he wants to trade. With a $40k starting point, the Seller can offer $10k trade value on the Torino against the Roadster. Again, that listed price is just a starting point.

Third, Spring is almost here, and you can rest assured that F/P-level authenticity means nothing to a Buyer of this car. The typical Buyer will purchase this car simply because it is cute, and because it is shiny. They could care less about hose clamps, or plating color as long it doesn't leak (much) or as long as the plating looks good.

And finally, I'd bet I am getting 3-4 contacts a week via telephone messages or e-mal from folks wanting to buy a Model-A. I don't sell Model-As, so they have wasted their & my time but my point is there are people looking for cars whether we think the hobby is dying or not. Make fun of these ads on eBay and other places all you like, but Buyers are responding to these prices and it does not scare these people away. While some may feel the price is too high, those that are looking for a car to buy are not intimidated by those asking prices.

Probably a Marvel Mystery oil dispenser, vacuum operated to lubricate the upper cylinders, a period accessory. I don't know if it did anything. I owned an original 29 roadster and I didn't get that for it when I sold it 10 years ago, , it looked nearly as good as that one but went for around 15 K.
