Re: Rebuild a 4412 holley custom
I have a lot of carburetor experience, however I'm not familiar what it takes to calibrate a blow through pressurized carburetor. There may be people on the HAMB that know about this, or even on the Ford Barn.
Thank you for the kind words HRR ! Sal |

Re: Rebuild a 4412 holley custom
There's a couple guys running F codes in vintage racing over on yblocksforever. You could join and try there. The Studebaker guys (I think they were mostly AFB's) might also have a lead. Going to kind of depend on the boost levels, back then the McCulloch's didn't make the kind of boost we make now with turbos.

Are you going to put it in a box, or use a bonnet? And just for curiosity's sake, why a 4412?

Re: Rebuild a 4412 holley custom
I'm far from an expert, but I've had 2 Edelbrock AFB style and one Holley 1850 style tuned to run as blow thru carbs at fairly low boost levels, 5-7 psi in the manifold. We had to look to the secondaries for the enrichment under boost. The primaries took some tuning but for a street car they were too rich with boost, so we ended up really rich on the secondaries. Particularly with the Edelbrocks they always went a bit rich on the top end in order to be ok in the mid range. You might want to contact someone with real experience to see how that plays out on a 2 barrel.
