Default Key blanks

I am needing to make some keys for a 1940 Ford.
I have some 1125 and some 1125F blanks, the 1125 is much larger than the 1125F blanks, which blank is correct for a 1940.
What years does a 1125F blank fit.
What years if any does a 1125 fit.
Thank You

Both will work for 1940 keys.

The H10 blank on the bottom looks like the original HURD blank and will work. I am still using the 40 keys made from the same brass H10 blanks back in 1963.

Had extra set made last week using the (round) H6 blank which also works as the locksmith didn't have the HURD blanks.

The 1125 blank has the correct groove and land to operate in all Ford and Mercury Hurd locks from 1932 thru 1951.

If I understand correctly, they will both work.
The blade on the 1125 is longer and wider than the blade on the 1125F.
Witch is the preferred blank, or witch blank has a blade that is closest to the original length and width of a original Ford key?

1930 Coupe, The larger key (1125) will not work with 1932 thru 1951 without a lot of filing and shortening. Your 1125F key is correct and will work. The larger key appears to be a hurd type key used on 1934 Chevrolet spare tire locks.

Thanks for the answers guys.
I am using this K R Wilson key cutter for about a year to make my keys.
I have calibrated it using model A keys all the cuts are 1 to 2 thousands of where they should be and the keys always work perfect.
This is my first attempt to make V8 keys with it.
When I measure the cuts in a V8 key to check the calibration, what measurements should I get.
I am not running a business, I just make keys for my friends.
