Changing 48 to side distributor.
I'm planning on changing the distributor on my 48 ford to side like the 49. I have found adapters for cam and front cover. What water pumps do i need to use?? Also I would like to know how to mark TDC on the crankshaft pulley. What abouit Gen.?? Thanks for any help

My opinion too John,their good dist desighned by Mallory for ford mtr. co. Nothing wrong with them at all. They just dont fathom how they work so they change them.ken ct.

The majority just seems to want change! Most of the time, after it is all said and done, the change isn't all that great!

I agree Frank. I put an 8ba in my '47 and Chas./N.Y. helped me convert it over to a GM dizzy. The Ford topmount dist. leaves a little to be desired.
