Rear seat small vent windows
My 36 Ford fordor sedan humpback has two small vent windows in the rear seat area that have flip levers that lock them. The driver's side is locked when flipped down and the passenger's side is locked when flipped up. Which is correct and where would I get a replacement for the incorrect one? Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Rear seat small vent windows
I don't know the answer, but just throwing out a thought:
Maybe what you have is correct? Did Ford use the same lock lever for both sides? Then when mounted they are opposite-hand, so one side locks up and the other locks down? |

Re: Rear seat small vent windows
Come on guys and gals, I can't believe that no one has the answer and all are stumped or was it so obvious that I should know the answer and don't! Somebody out there must know. Thanks, I think!!!

Re: Rear seat small vent windows
On mine, both levers are pointed down when the windows are locked. Both levers need to be pushed up to open the window. Terry

Re: Rear seat small vent windows
Forgot to mention that there is a tapered lock pin that holds the levers on. Could taking the pin out of the one pointing up when locked and rotating it 180 degrees be the answer?

Re: Rear seat small vent windows
Thanks Terry and Don, I pthink that I have two driver's side levers. I'll probably just check around and try to find a passenger side one. Any suggestions where I might check? Thanks again Terry and Don

Re: Rear seat small vent windows
I would try the following; Dennis Carpenter Reproductions, Third Gen Automotive(ph#844-327-5988), Little Dearborn Parts (ph# 888-282-2066), and The Early Ford Store(ph#909-305-1955). All have some NOS parts. I would also run a want ad on this site and the Early Ford V-8 Club website(www.earlyfordv8.org) if you haven't already done so..
