But I can't fit behind the steering wheel! What is the best way to get my seat back another 4 inches. Am I the only fat old man that loves these old cars?

Think about making changes to the wheel, or the seat mounting, or the padding, or all three.

No you are not the only big man to get into an early car. Remember the "Fat Man Wheel". They show up from time to time and might be an easy solution.

Just unbolt the seat , move it back 4" , drill new holes , bolt it down , and your good to go !

They were! When World War II kicked off here in a big way in and the draft started really taking in lots of people the government noted at the time that malnutrition and signs of vitamin deficiency &c. was pretty high, a result of ten years worth of the "Great Depression."
