I call this a fairy tale because it went just perfect !!!!! Usually dont felt pretty good today and worked on some past orders .
Crab build.. 1- Core bags from Terrys secret stash.. 2-should be complete ??? Not 100% but good , only had large timing tag instead of small one, he has a box of both 3-11A weights and spark ring , spray with lube 4-assemble the advance parts with new spacer and snap ring ( thanks third generation) 5 NAPA parts echlin heavy duty , soak point sin the marvel sauna and wipe clean ( helps the fiber blocks ) 6-Lube back side of rubbing block to have lasting lube . 7-Use all new stainless socket head screws 8-Install shaft and breaker plate , using large snap ring 9-Use napa fa54 Condesnor ( have had good luck with these almost never failing) 10 lube and install spark brake piston , tighten to three turns 11- run on distributor machine , adjust each side of the points , run for 5-10 minutes at 2000 rpm and recheck for wear ??? 12-confirm 11 degrees of spark advance 13 - Install the Bubba sticker ans ship to customer ....... Re: A Fairy tale Crab Build from Bubbas
Jim, as I said before, you will have good days and bad days while you are doing dialysis. I am now in my second second year of dialysis, and I still have the occasional bad day. I look at it this way, do it, or die. That pretty much sums it up. You don't have to like it, but you don't have much choice. I go 3 days a week from 5:15 AM until 9:30 AM. At least I have most of the day left to do what I want, or what I can. Just keep going. I am almost 80 years old, and have slowed down somewhat, but I do what I can. I am thankful for the technology that helps us.

Re: A Fairy tale Crab Build from Bubbas
God bless Jim, that is great news bud. VERY glad to hear this. Take care don't over do it Rest when you need to and drink all the water you can stand and then drink more.
You rebuilt the dissie on our 59AB Flathead several years ago and it never ran better, you da man I'm tracing a 'no power to the plugs' issue right now and I noticed the condenser lead wire looks pretty frazzled, and someone linked this thread to me, and I see you are using the NAPA FA54 I will give them a ring and get one. Not saying that is my problem but I need a new one regardless. I was going to call you today and ask what cond. I should use! Good to hear you are feeling better take care. The VA will treat you right! |

Re: A Fairy tale Crab Build from Bubbas
Nick and Jim, looks like you are both on the Hemo dialysis , hence the good and bad days.
We are very lucky ,Wife is on PD dialysis every night, 1-1/2 years to date and no bad days.she is actually dangerous.lol We can get away in the 33 and caravan for up to a month at a time,or longer with a bit of forward planing, it means taking out the rear seat bottom to stack the supplies in, we have been away for a couple of big trips in the 33 with this and have a ball, No one has asked yet what all the boxes are in the back. We are still limited to how far we can go with the virus thing, but the 33 and caravan is ready as soon as we get the word. Lawrie |

Re: A Fairy tale Crab Build from Bubbas
Lawrie, yesterday was a bad day. Usually when only a little of bad stuff is removed, it is a bad day. Yesterday they took out 2.9 kilograms. This usually happens after the weekend. I just was down all day, and didn't try to do anything Ford related, meaning no time in my cellar workshop. Bubba knows what I mean by this. You just keep on keep'n on. Today is a better day so far. A big problem with dialysis is not being able to sleep some nights. Some nights I get up at 10:00 PM and I am awake until the next night. I am not tired, but no ball of fire either. It is what it is. My regards to you and your wife regarding her treatment. I have a buddy starting PD soon, as he seems to prefer this to being stuck with needles 3 times a week. Be thankful that we are able to get these treatments. I know that I am.
