Probably getting up there as far as geekiness goes, but I just pulled my cowl vent, including the hinge. The hinge has shouldered bolts. I have only found one wavy washer to use in this location, should there be two? One on each side?

The parts fell away due to the awkward location.

So, the question is, wavy washer one side only, or on both???? If both I need to have another good look around..

I found a previous post on the same subject and it does look like there should be two.
bob drake posted a link to an info sheet and that shows two. (For a car at least).

I'd better have a scout around.

One on each side as you'd thought. A total of two, not four. Available here in the states at any decent hardware store.

Thanks Mike, I had you in mind when I asked the question. I couldn't find the second one, but did find the assembly from my other truck and that had one on each side, plus the correct hardware elsewhere on the linkage. (The other truck seems to be fast becoming a parts truck)

Unfortunately, things like that only appear in good USA hardware stores. I've got no chance this side of the pond.
